INSPIRING PEOPLE TO
WHO WE ARE
At Greenville Oaks, we are a group of believers who are committed to inspiring people to follow Jesus. Why? Because we are convinced that following Jesus is the best way of life possible. We’re called to further the Kingdom of God throughout Collin County and beyond by showing people God’s grace, empowering them to live according to His Word, and to trade the pursuit of artificial success for the abundant life found in Jesus.
Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”. (John 10:10, ESV)
Preparing for the Coming of the Lord
November 28, 2021 | Eddie Sharp | Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker, Eddie Sharp, guides us through the season of Advent, which lasts for four Sundays leading up to Christmas. The word “Advent” is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming”. During Advent, we look back upon Christ’s coming in celebration, while at the same time, look forward in eager anticipation to the coming of Christ’s kingdom when He returns for His people. This week Eddie reminds us of the Hope we have because of the coming of Christ
Eddie is a Consulting Partner for the Siburt Institute for Church Ministry at Abilene Christian University, and retired pulpit minister.
