In the past 50 years, truth has fallen on hard times. From political scandals to athletes testing positive for performance enhancing drugs to #fakenews, truth has never felt more out of reach.

At some point, many of us threw up our hands and gave up on truth. After all, who or what could be trusted anymore? I’ll come up with my truth and you come up with yours and we’ll call it a day.

But deep down, we all know there are absolutes. We trust in the laws of gravity. We make lifelong covenants to one another with vows despite the frequency of broken vows.

The truth may be simple, but it’s never as easy to live out as we believe.
