Caleb and Jenny Beck
The Becks have been in Rwanda since April 2007 and Greenville Oaks has been supporting them since July 2010. Caleb, Jenny, and their children, Adin and Caris, have made their home in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
Caleb is the treasurer and co-founder of Xtra Mile Ministries, one of the family and community development programs of Africa Transformation Network - Rwanda. Xtra Mile Ministries was founded in 2007 and reaches out to the genocide orphans of Rwanda. The ministry is based on:
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)
Through their work with Xtra Mile Ministries, they are helping to establish kingdom communities. These communities are mission-driven and Christ-centered. In 2012, they also began reconciliation by crossing over working with and helping non-survivors (those either in Rwanda during the genocide and were non-perpetrators as well as those that were perpetrators). Their goal is to promote forgiveness among the Rwandan people.
