Michelle Barrick

Michelle joined the Greenville Oaks staff in the fall of 2014 as the Resource Room Coordinator. In this role, Michelle oversees the Resource Room and prepares classroom supplies for both Greenville Oaks Church and Greenville Oaks Christian Preschool. In January of 2018, Michelle began working for the Children’s Ministry as an Administrative Assistant as well.

Michelle was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma. She attended church with her family, growing in faith thanks to the guidance of her loving parents and many wonderful children’s and youth ministry teachers and volunteers. Michelle grew up in the same church as her husband, Tim, and they dated in high school and college. She attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. During her college years, she was active in the Stillwater Church of Christ University Center ministry and developed a strong faith in the Lord of her own.

After college graduation, Michelle worked as a Consultant for Andersen Consulting/Accenture. She worked on projects in the technology and semiconductor industry ranging from supply chain software installation to corporate mergers. These roles provided invaluable professional and interpersonal experience in a variety of settings that can be applied to her current roles. Stemming from a love of books, libraries, and organization, Michelle later decided to pursue a master’s degree from the University of North Texas in Library and Information Science, graduating in 2006.

Michelle and Tim were married in their childhood church in January of 1998 by their youth minister. They have two children, Melissa and Daniel, and currently live in Allen where they have resided since 2000. Soon after moving to Allen, Michelle & Tim found a church home at Greenville Oaks. When not working and carpooling kids, Michelle enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family outdoors.
