Matt Mazza

Executive Minister

Matt joined the Greenville Oaks staff in May of 2010. After twelve years in ministry at the Prestoncrest Church of Christ, Matt began at Greenville Oaks as the Involvement minister in 2010 before moving into his current role of Executive Minister in May of 2015. As Executive Minister matter serves under the oversight of the Greenville Oaks Elders and manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of the church and staff; specifically administering all the hiring of staff, budgeting and yearly financials, facilities and support staff as well as over all leadership development.

Matt is the oldest of three kids born and raised in the Dallas area. He was “born on the back pew” and went to “church” every time the doors were open. His understanding of church and religion was simply to learn, believe and don’t mess up and hope that grace was enough if you did mess up. Over the last 30 years of Matt's life, his faith and family have evolved and he is forever grateful for the numerous people that God has placed around him in helping reveal what His true purpose for his life was and still is to be. There is nothing Matt can do to separate himself from the love of God.

One of the people Matt is most grateful for is his amazing wife, Kristen, whom he married in 1997. Kristen and Matt dated and eventually married while attending Oklahoma Christian University, which is where Matt received his religious education ministry degree in 1998. Kristen has exemplified love, grace and mercy within their marriage and she has been a tremendous influence in his pastoral career and personal life. Kristen is an Executive Director of independent senior living at the Juliette Fowler Communities in Dallas.

Matt and Kristen live in Plano with their two children, son Blake and daughter Chandler. Blake currently lives in the state of Washington and attends Washington State University where he plays football for the Cougars and is majoring in Sports Management and Business. Chandler attends High School in Plano and loves riding her horse, London.

Matt is so thankful for the many years of ministry service God has allowed him to have and is truly blessed to be at Greenville Oaks. He is looking forward to many more years of wondrous things to come as God continues to work in him and through him for God's glory.
