Bible Study Groups are made up of people who come together on a regular basis to study the Bible and pray, usually in gender-specific groups. They typically meet weekly or bi-weekly in a home, restaurant or at the church building.
Bible Study Groups normally have a designated focus of the study they are engaging, including topical studies, studies of books of the Bible, or studies that focus on a specific phase of life. They often use Bible study workbooks or videos or other resources as a framework for the sessions.
Bible Study Groups usually follow the same format each week instead of varying from one week to another. Groups may meet on any day of the week, early in the morning, in the evening, or any time in between. Some groups meet year-round and others during the academic year.
