Mission

The church exists to save the lost. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matt. 28:19-20).

Ministries that work together to accomplish the mission purpose include.

  • Foreign Outreach
  • Local Outreach
  • World Bible School

As followers of Christ, we strive to reach others with the good news that God loves them and He wants to have a relationship with them, now and for eternity. We view missions as a lifestyle, a way of seeing and embracing life in Christ. We believe God is leading us toward fulfilling our mission to not only seek people who need Christ and help them become His fully devoted followers in our communities, but also to seek people in other places far away from home.

Over the past few years several large and small teams have traveled to Grenada to serve the people and strengthen the churches of that small island nation. This developing partnership has included leadership training, construction projects, Vacation Bible School, basketball clinics, sponsoring a Grenadian ministry student interning at Greenville Oaks and sending Christmas gifts to children in Grenada. We seek a high level of personal involvement in mission efforts in Grenada as well as other places in Africa, Canada and south Texas, so that while we learn to serve in other areas we also develop skills and confidence to reach others for Christ right here at home.
